apparently beltran was making fun of his nose at one point and suggested it. at least he was man enough to offer to pay for it after busting on someone's physical appearance. i wonder if he's considering the same for his own mole?

I guess Beltran wasn't making fun of Niese at all....
Here's the proof: http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2012/02/24/car...e-for-nose-job/ Funny how things get misconstrued. Good ol' New York media trying to turn everything into a scandal and Beltran was just offering to pay for it as a friend. |

in any event, the only roses niese will be smelling are from franco's bullpen garden. -------------------- '-|-'

Beltran told Neise he looked more like a boxer than a ballplayer and offered to pay for the fix. |

Beltran overheard Niese talking about how he wanted to get his nose fixed but he didn't want to spend the $10,000. Beltran then asked him if he would do it if it was free and Niese said yes and then Beltran said he would pay for it. Amazing how such an incredibly nice gesture gets misconstrued into Beltran being an A-hole. |

I think this is another case of the media inventing a story. I saw Beltran interviewed before the game yesterday and he said he hasn't had a chance to pay Niese yet, not that he wouldn't pay him. And for all we know Niese could have told Beltran that he didn't want his money..... |

Because I believe he struck out again in 2012 by not following thru on a promise he made in 2011! As discussed previously I thought I was entitled to my opinion. Let's wait until the facts are in. Are you sure that Carlos is not capable of reniging on a promaise? This is not about Carlos being the best centerfielder in baseball. This is about Carlos being a man who keeps his word.
