RULED!!!!!
That is all. -------------------- The Mook Theorem
Higher OBP = More chances to score runs = More runs will score. "What is an error? It is, without exception, the only major statistic in sports which is a record of what an observer thinks should have been accomplished." - Bill James At Baseball Prospectus, we often reiterate the point that RBIs are an inferior measure of production, because they are more closely tied to lineup context than hitting skill. I trust algorithms. Trillions of dollars are invested based on them. Nuclear bombs are tested through them. They can choose a freaking lineup. - ils4O1 |

I suck this summer. I have yet to see Batman, now War of the Worlds is out and I don't forsee myself seeing it within the next 2 weeks. Normally I am a movie junkie during the summer months and this summer all I have seen is Star Wars, Cinderella Man, and (you may begin the mockery now, I deserve it) Bewitched.

Just saw this movie and it was absolutely awesome. So far I think I've hit the nail on two movies I've seen this summer: Batman Begins and War of Worlds.

I was slightly disappointed in WotW. I loved the FX with the robots and the blowing up of Bayonne (I was raised there part-time so I recognized many of the locations). But I was really disappointed with the way the red world looked once it was inhabited by the aliens. Kind of cheesy. The Aliens were great, but I felt like I had seen them all before. The probe was from The Abyss and the aliens themselves were minaturized versions of the ID aliens. Also was I the only one rooting for the little girl to get eaten??? 8-year old kid that neurotic who only seems to excel at screaming. It wasn't a flop by any means, but I didn't love it the way I had hoped I would.

I also think that Tom Cruise was a bit wimpy at first...Not much of a take charge dad was he?!? Other then that: it was decent. I'll add it to my collection when it comes out... The book though...it rocked!!!!!!!! -------------------- "Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain -- and most fools do." Dale Carnegie.
